How to use subversion with jdeveloper for Oracle ADF – Part 2

In the last article, I had taken you through the steps required to source control your Oracle ADF apps with the help of code.adfapps.com repository and subversion.Let me show you how to checkout an existing oracle adf project from the code.adfapps.com subversion repository.

High level steps:

1) Connect to Subversion repository using the credentials

2) Open up the Versioning Navigator in the JDeveloper

3) Open up your repository and go to (Trunk or Branches or Tags)

4) Checkout the appropriate project folder by right click on the folder and say checkout

Below are the steps in detail:

Step 1: Connect to subversion repository in the code.adfapps.com

Step 3: Open up the cholasvndemo repository and right click on the trunk folder

Step 4: Click on checkout

Step 5: Give a name like v1 or any identifiable name for this checkout

Step 6: Verify the files are checkout properly from SVN using the JDeveloper’s SVN Log.

Step 7: The Project Should have been checkout for you and should appear on the Application Navigator.

Congrats, you had checked out an ADF project from source code repository and configured the project to run in your JDeveloper.In the next part, I will take you through the process of how to make changes to the checked out project and commit changes to the repository again from JDeveloper.
